Accounting Manager - Retail Sector

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support one of our clients in the Retail sector based near Lille (59).

Context and objective

Our client is a dynamic and growing company in the retail sector. Currently, it is leading a strategic transformation project to improve its efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
In this context, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large accounting team of 150 people and will play a key role in the ongoing transformation of the organization.

Main missions

• Environment in full transformation (50%):
  Support and lead transformation initiatives for the accounting function.
  Implement innovative processes to improve the efficiency and quality of accounting operations.
• Project management (40%):
  Monitor and ensure the completion of the defined and validated project roadmap.
  Manage and coordinate accounting projects to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Run follow-up (10%):
  Supervise current activities, in particular the accounting closing for the year 2024.
  Ensure the smooth running of daily accounting operations.

Required profile

• Experience: More than 10 years of experience in accounting, with significant experience in managing large teams.
• Expertise in accounting process transformation.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
