PMO / Insurance Management Controller
Duration: 6 months | Start: mid May 2024 | Location: Paris | TJM: according to profiles
We are looking for a management controller to provide business assistance & PMO to one of our clients in the insurance sector based in Paris.
Context
Our client has a need for business assistance to compensate for the involvement of the Plan Budget Results & Budget teams on an integrated platform project which aims to migrate current tools (CODA/COGNOS within ORACLE within 2 years).
The PBR – Budget team is heavily involved over the next 6 months in order to contribute to the general and detailed design of the target solution.
The consultant will work within the Plan Budget Result (PBR) department and the Budget team made up of a little less than 10 management controllers in particular in charge of monitoring the budgetary execution of overheads via the following tasks and deliverables following:
- Construction of Estimates and budget on the nature of expenses managed by the Budget Departments or not
- Monitoring of actual and prospective workforce (budget/estimated) in coordination with the Results team in charge of cost distribution in the event of a change of organization
- Monitoring the correct allocation of costs (in coordination with accounting) by nature and by direction
- Monitoring of costs by type of costs and by project code
- Production of dashboards for members of General Management and key business managers, in a process of continuous improvement.
- Production of documents for Boards of Directors, the Audit and Accounts Committee, as well as Staff Representative Bodies
This request for business assistance therefore aims to:
- Take charge of the production of deliverables linked to the implementation of the 2024 management process (estimated, Budget) or any other need relating to the missions of the budget department cited above
- Provide methodological and functional support to the workshops relating to the PPI project, particularly on sites relating to:
1. Formalization of the expression of need for the restitution states of the reports and the monitoring axes in EPM
2. Process for monitoring expenditure commitment from the Purchasing tool until recognition and reporting
Main objectives of the mission
- Participate, alongside the business manager and his team, in budget execution monitoring work.
- Contribute to the PPI project (deployment of an ERP / EPM) via the industrialization and challenge of the current monitoring process and workshop preparation to make it evolve.
Main deliverables
- Contribute to strengthening work on estimates, particularly on the part of personnel costs
- Identify areas for improvement in the estimate process and the budget through the preparation of budget instructions or estimates
- Writing of court materials
- Analysis note presenting the monitoring of 2024 budget execution and the main variations in costs between estimates and between the budget and the estimate on the main budgetary directions
- Support in writing design work and validation of general and detailed specifications
Required profile
- management control
- knowledge of the insurance sector
- confirmed consultant (7/10 years of experience) with serious prior experience on budget execution monitoring missions
- Strong expertise in Excel and appetite for databases
- Knowledge of CODA, COGNOS and ORACLE tools
