Data Scientist Consultant – Fight Against Fraud

We are looking for a Data Scientist as part of a strategic project of one of our Insurance clients to strengthen the mechanisms of fight against fraud.
Within the Data and Digital Innovation department, you will participate in the development of a product combining Data Science expertise and business analysis. The main objective is to strengthen fraud detection mechanisms thanks to advanced data analysis methods.

Roles and responsibilities

• Collect and understand the needs of internal stakeholders (Product Owners, business).
• Identify and implement innovative analytical approaches to address fraud issues (exploratory analysis, unsupervised methods, clustering).
• Design and document data acquisition, preparation and processing pipelines (structured and unstructured).
• Build predictive models, evaluate their performance and define business indicators measuring the value generated.
• Restore and promote the results to the business through analysis reports, data visualizations, and prototypes.
• Carry out technological monitoring and suggest avenues for continuous improvement.

Expected deliverables

• Analysis reports and data visualizations.
• Data processing pipelines and operational models.
• Technical and functional documentation.
• Prototypes and demonstrators of the solutions developed.
• Monitoring report on tools and methodologies.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in Data Science, with mastery of Python and SQL tools.
• Good knowledge of clustering and unsupervised analysis methods.
• Ability to analyze complex data and organize structured research.
• Excellent investigative mindset and proactive approach.
• Prior experience in anti-fraud or in the actuarial sector (health insurance, reimbursements).
• Strong ability to connect data, business processes and business needs.
