IT Purchasing Consultant – Banking Sector (M/F)

Duration: 6 months renewable | Start: January 2025 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: max. €600 depending on profiles

We are looking for a IT Purchasing Consultant on behalf of a purchasing department of a large French bankThis 6-month consulting mission is part of a strategic project aimed at optimizing IT spending and structuring purchasing processes, with a scope covering IT Intellectual Services, IT Infrastructures, and Software.

Roles and responsibilities
In this context, your main missions will be:

• Define and implement an IT purchasing strategy to optimize costs and achieve savings.
• Manage calls for tenders, ensure negotiations with suppliers and ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Improve purchasing processes by proposing continuous optimization actions.
• Identify and source suppliers taking into account quality, price and reliability criteria.
• Manage and coordinate contractualization in collaboration with the Legal Department.
• Establish detailed reporting (savings made, project monitoring, current files) and produce analyses and statistics on Purchasing activity.
• Contribute to the implementation of the Purchasing policy defined by Management.

Required Skills

• Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in IT Purchasing, ideally in a banking or insurance environment.
• Technical expertise: mastery of calls for tender, sourcing, contractualization and reporting tools.
• Personal qualities: rigor, autonomy, excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• A good knowledge of the Intellectual Services, IT Infrastructures and Software categories will be an asset.
• Proficiency in office tools (advanced Excel) is essential.
