BCBS 239 Project Manager – Banking Sector (M/F)

Duration: 13 months | Start: mid-November 2024 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: according to profiles

We are looking for a consultant Expert manager on the BCBS 239 standard in order to support our client, a French bank, in the context of the steering a compliance project.
The project, launched in early 2023, aims to review and align reporting production processes, internal procedures as well as the data architecture and underlying IT infrastructure, in order to meet the requirements of BCBS 239 by the end of 2025.

Roles and responsibilities

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

• Ensure operational management of the project, by being the main contact for the project manager and sponsors (members of the Executive Committee).
• Supervise and coordinate a project team composed of 4 consultants and 7 stream leaders, responsible for the operational teams.
• Prepare and lead weekly project committees, monitor deliverables and actions.
• Participate in the drafting and coordination of responses to requests from regulators (ECB), the General Inspectorate and the Board of Directors.
• Contribute to the implementation of key activities of the various streams, including the drafting and deployment of operational procedures, data quality management, data lineage and data governance.

Required Skills

• 5 to 12 years of experience in project management, ideally in a banking or regulatory context.
• Expertise on the following themes: risk and regulatory reporting, data governance, data quality, data architecture, credit risk, BCBS 239.
• Strong ability to interact with high-level interlocutors (C-level) and to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English essential (participation in international committees with subsidiaries).
