IS Project Director – Banking Compliance Area

We are looking for an experienced IS Project Director to lead a major transformation program in the area of Risk and Finance, specifically focused on compliance, for one of our banking clients located in Paris.

Context and objective of the project
The main goal of the project is to develop a dedicated IS in order to strengthen compliance.
The project is currently in the preliminary design phase since January 2024. Two possible scenarios for the final solution have been identified: a software package or a Low Code approach.

Responsibilities
As an IS Project Director, your main missions will be:

1. Managing a major IT transformation project
   Lead the project from the preliminary design phase to full implementation.
   Define and monitor project performance indicators.
   IS team animation
2. Coordinate and lead technical and functional teams.
   Ensure the cohesion and motivation of the project team.
   Budget management
3. Establish and manage the project budget.
   Optimize allocated financial resources and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
   Anticipation of milestones
4. Plan the different phases of the project while respecting the allotted deadlines.
   Identify and anticipate risks and potential blocking points.
   Animation of project instances
5. Organize and lead steering committees and follow-up meetings.
   Ensure communication between the different stakeholders.
   Reporting to the division manager
6. Provide regular reports on the progress of the project to the division manager.
   Propose corrective actions if necessary.
   Other project activities
7. Contribute to all other project management-related tasks to ensure the success of the program.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in managing large IS transformation projects, ideally in the banking sector.
• Ability to manage complex projects with a strong regulatory component.
• Mastery of leading IS teams and budget management.
• Skill in anticipating milestones and leading project bodies.
• Autonomy and ability to take initiatives.
• Strong capacity for anticipation and proactive risk management.
• Rigor and methodology in project management.
