Expert Migration from SAS 9.4 to SAS VIYA 3.5

Duration: 6 months renewed. | Start: 01/07/24 | Location: Noisiel (77) & Paris | Max TJM: €750

As part of its modernization projects, our client wishes to provide consulting services for the migration from SAS 9.4 to SAS VIYA 3.5. This mission aims to prepare for the migration, analyze the impacts and set up a demonstrator to test and validate the processes.

Assignment

The freelance consultant will intervene on several essential aspects for the success of this migration:

• Technical and Functional Tests: Conduct in-depth tests on critical points of the migration (database connection process, securing storage spaces, etc.).
• Setting up Test Environments: Create and configure the test environments necessary for the demonstrator so that projects can carry out their own tests.
• Business Support: Support business teams in their porting tests of SAS 9 programs (Data Programs, Stored Process, VA reports, etc.) to VIYA's SAS Programming Runtime calculation engine.
• Construction of Migration Support Tools: Develop tools to facilitate the migration process.
• Optimization of Processing: Formulate recommendations to optimize SAS 9.4 processing on SAS VIYA 3.5, particularly with regard to interaction with the CAS engine.
• Migration Strategy: Support businesses in defining the strategy for migrating their SAS assets to VIYA.

Required Skills

• Mastery of SAS Solutions: Expertise in SAS 9, including the architecture and optimization of SAS programs.
  In-depth knowledge of SAS VIYA 3.5.
• Experience in SAS Migration: Proven experience in migration projects from SAS 9 to SAS VIYA.
• Communication and Project Management Skills: Conducting technical and functional meetings in complex technological contexts, Ability to write meeting minutes, emails, technical documents, and presentations, Simultaneous management of several files and development of project plans 'actions.
