Banking compliance

We are looking for a freelance consultant to support our banking client based in Paris.

Assignment
The consultant will provide support to the Compliance teams for a period of 1 year, acting as a Compliance advisor.

Mission Roles

• Monitor the application of standards in specific files and geographic areas.
• Carry out a second level control on the information and documents collected by operational services.
• Check the existence and application of procedures in financial institutions.
• Analyze the notes presented to the committees for the drafting of notices of conformity.
• Examine atypical transactions and monitor the detection of suspicious transactions.
• Establish analysis and summary notes of the legislation in force.
• Ensure legal monitoring of the principles, standards and rules applicable to the group's activity.
• Participate in the definition and application of internal compliance procedures.
• Train employees in the group's AML/CFT risks and procedures.
• Update group portfolio KYC records.
• Contribute to the improvement of Compliance reporting and statistics tools.

Expected deliverables
The consultant will have to carry out the following tasks:

• Drafting of compliance notices.
• Ex-post controls of portfolio files and projects.
• Participation in cross-functional projects.
• Updating portfolio files.
• Improvement of Compliance reporting and statistics tools.

Required Skills

We are looking for a consultant with:

• Minimum of five (5) years of compliance experience in the banking-finance sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on missions relating to banking and financial compliance risks, in particular the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
• Good command of AML/CFT regulations.
• Global view of compliance risks.
• Fluent English.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
